How to achieve the perfect roast potato, our simple guide:
Method
- Preheat the oven to 200c.
- Peel and cut the potatoes into 5cm chunks.
- Boil these for 5 to 10 mins – check if the potatoes are cooked through, with a small knife.
- Put the oil in a roasting tray and into the oven for 5 mins.
- Drain and ruffle the potatoes in a colander and sprinkle with salt.
- Roast for 50 to 60 mins – turn and bast every 15 mins.
